Theatre on Ice was originally created in Europe where it is known as Ballet on Ice. It was later adopted by the U.S. where we changed the name to Theatre on Ice (TOI). In TOI there are 20 to 24 skaters per team. There are various levels that teams compete at ranging from Open to Senior. The lowest level in TOI is the Open level. Preliminary follows and after that, Novice, Junior, and Senior.
